On January 28, 2026, a roundtable discussion was held at the Khorezm Regional Television and Radio Company.
The event focused on the tasks set during a video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent on January 27, 2026, dedicated to forming a safe environment, ensuring effective public safety, and establishing best practices in this field.
Participants included staff of the Khorezm Regional Television and Radio Company, correspondents from national television, faculty members of higher educational institutions, and representatives of law enforcement agencies.
In particular, Khorezm Regional Branch Head of the Centre for Sustainable Development, Professor B. Ruzmetov, provided briefings to Uzbekistan-24, the Khorezm Regional Television and Radio Company, and Khorezm Radio on the role of civil society institutions in the process of ensuring public safety and shaping a safe social environment, as well as on the importance of strengthening coordination between state bodies and public organisations, broadening civic engagement, and ensuring an integrated approach to resolving pressing issues in the sector for the effective implementation of designated priority tasks.
During the event, participants engaged in a comprehensive discussion of the substance of the tasks outlined at the video conference, the mechanisms for their implementation at the local level, and the measures aimed at ensuring public safety based on the principles of sustainable development. The event is intended to further strengthen cooperation between state and public institutions, as well as to ensure a safe and socially equitable environment in the pursuit of sustainable development.
