In accordance with paragraph 6 of Order No. F-37 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated 5 February 2026, the task of implementing manuals and programmes for teaching "Emergency Response Procedures" in higher education institutions has been established.
To ensure the fulfilment of this assignment, special training courses have been organised at Tashkent State University of Economics starting from April of this year. These courses are conducted by a representative of the Centre for Sustainable Development.
Within the framework of the sessions, students are provided with theoretical and practical knowledge on proper conduct during emergencies, mechanisms for protecting the population, safety rules, rapid evacuation measures, and the provision of first practical aid in emergency situations.
In addition, the training process places particular emphasis on raising the level of public preparedness for emergencies, fostering a culture of safety among young people, and developing the skills needed to make prompt and sound decisions in the face of various threats and hazards.
According to specialists, these courses play an important role in strengthening students' practical preparedness for emergency response, as well as in enhancing the effectiveness of preventive measures aimed at ensuring public safety.
