A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Centre for Sustainable Development and the Termez University of Economics and Service.
The Memorandum is oriented towards the implementation of the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the national and regional levels, as well as towards strengthening cooperation in the fields of education, science, and innovation.
Under the terms of this agreement, the parties have committed to collaboration across a number of priority areas. These include the development of joint programmes to advance national sustainable development goals through scientific research and applied projects, encompassing such areas as poverty reduction, provision of quality education, promotion of decent work and economic growth, and action on climate change.
Particular emphasis is placed on establishing innovation laboratories for students and young researchers, supporting start-up initiatives, and integrating the principles of the "green economy" and digital transformation into the educational process.
According to experts, this Memorandum will serve to strengthen evidence-based and science-driven approaches to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, while fostering global thinking and active civic engagement among young people.
Furthermore, this partnership is expected to open new opportunities for ensuring socio-economic stability in the regions, advancing innovative ideas, and training a competitive and highly qualified workforce.
