On April 2, 2026, on the initiative of the Centre for Sustainable Development, a scientific-practical roundtable was held in the Bostanliq district of Tashkent region, with the participation of mahalla activists, civil society institutions, and education sector employees. The event was organized in cooperation with representatives of the district administration and the Ecological Party.
During the roundtable, presentations were delivered on the legal and institutional foundations of the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, their alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, as well as information on international best practices. In addition, explanations were provided regarding the Centre's activities and ongoing projects.
Opinions and proposals expressed by the participants were discussed in an open dialogue format, contributing to the further strengthening of public engagement.
In the second, practical segment of the event, concrete initiatives were put forward. In particular, within the framework of the nationwide "Yashil Makon" project, a tree-planting initiative was organized on the grounds of educational institutions in Bostanliq district, with the involvement of students and teachers. A number of fruit tree seedlings were planted, representing a significant practical step towards environmental protection, the promotion of ecological awareness, and the cultivation of a responsible attitude towards nature among young people.
