Spirituality — the Morning Star of New Uzbekistan

04-03-2026 92

The Cairo-based publishing house Dar al-Wefaq (Dar al-Wefaq Publishing & Distribution) has recently released a book by Iraqi author Ahmad Jasim Zubaidi entitled Spirituality — the Morning Star of New Uzbekistan. Islam — the Philosophy of Humanism, Knowledge and Enlightenment.

A special article by the author, dedicated to the substance and essence of the work under the same title, was published in succession by the leading media platforms of the Arab world — Iraq's Saut al-Iraq, Egypt's Al-Youm al-Sabi', and Algeria's Al-Qaid News, as well as on a number of Arabic-language social media pages.

The article notes that the work is devoted to the essence and philosophy of the humanitarian, spiritual, and scientific-educational policy pursued by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

"This work is not a mere chronicle of events but a profound reflection on the extent to which the global initiatives advanced by the leader of Uzbekistan — aimed at strengthening the principles of humanity, peace and cooperation among peoples — are of vital and strategic importance for the future of nations. For today's Uzbekistan is not only the heir to a great past, but also the cradle of historic initiatives that are generating positive change in the life of humanity"

According to Dr. Aboud Mustafa Aboud, Director General of the Al-Wefaq publishing house: 'The bloody conflicts currently unfolding in the Middle East have once again given the international community serious cause for reflection. This reality clearly demonstrates how timely and universally significant are the global initiatives advanced by His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at strengthening mutual respect and trust, solidarity and tolerance among peoples.'

On his social media pages, Dr. Aboud Mustafa stated: 'I am immensely pleased that our publishing house has brought out this book dedicated to the policy of such a great and venerable man as Shavkat Mirziyoyev. For I regard this work — which reflects the noble ideas of Uzbekistan's leader and the unique spiritual legacy of the country's great scholars — as a sincere address to all of humanity.'

According to the book's author, Ahmad Zubaidi, Uzbekistan's domestic and foreign policy commands great respect and attention in the Arab world. Today, in the very heart of Central Asia, timeless values — honour, human dignity and spiritual self-improvement — are being revived. Thanks to Shavkat Mirziyoyev's initiatives, the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the states of the region are advancing to a new level. For the surest path to ensuring global security lies not in deepening contradictions, but in uniting around common values and shared interests.

Today, the state of Uzbekistan is advancing the ideas of science, tolerance and enlightenment at the global level. In this regard, the head of state emerges as a great humanist who recognises human rights and freedoms as the supreme value, as well as the guarantor of the Constitution who maintains the balance between spiritual traditions forged over centuries and the principles of a modern secular state.

"I endeavoured to demonstrate through concrete examples that spiritual values retain their fundamental importance even in the conditions of contemporary society. At the heart of this approach lies an understanding of spirituality as a source of creative force capable of harmonising with the principles of civil society and intercultural dialogue. Here, faith manifests not as a dividing factor, but as a space for unity and openness"

Uzbekistan is undertaking extensive work to promote the genuine, humanistic essence of Islam. In particular, institutions such as the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, the Centre for Islamic Civilisation in Tashkent and the International Scientific Research Centre of Imam Bukhari in Samarkand play a special role in the education and upbringing of youth.

Established in Uzbekistan on the personal initiative of the President, these centres of knowledge have become the 'Morning Star' of the country's development.

I am confident that the book will make a worthy contribution to inter-ethnic and intercultural dialogue and will be of benefit to researchers, diplomats, journalists, entrepreneurs, and all those who wish to witness how great ideas find practical expression through science, enlightenment and the light of knowledge — the article concludes.

According to the author, the book is being prepared for publication in the Uzbek language in close collaboration with Uzbek Arabists.
